I. Eclipse 05:01
Are we dreaming of a day as dark as night? Wondering what might be Something kept the sun from shining down on my face I wonder and I worry and I wish it all away It seems impossible Some things you just have to See with your eyes There are roads I won't go down at night Believe me there's something so wrong Just look outside I won't close my eyes Till I lock the doors and the windows tight No crashing or clanking or scratching at my window pane It's impossible No ominous eye in the sky It's all in my mind And it keeps me... It keeps me up all night Wondering what might be Hiding behind that flowing drape Underneath the table What might be...? It seems impossible Some things you just have to See with your eyes There are roads I won't go down at night Believe me there's something so wrong Just look outside And nevermind the shape it takes Something's waiting in the sky But I don't mind the rain sometimes

II. Fear 04:32
Now it rains down in a dark wave And a hole opens up in the ground And the man and the beast and the crowds in the streets of my town Have all been falling down Leaving our hopes Flying away like a crow Watching our home tumble and sink like a stone I let the fear replace my faith But it feels the same I won't let down I can't let down my walls The earth is shaking The sky is falling down I was sure today But "sure" cant help me to know Filling all my memories with holes Peeling all my memories back We're in danger now Don't have no doubt While I dream of a better plan She dreams of a better man than I Don't look baby close your eyes Imagine a future green and wide I'm taking her by the hand She dreams of a better man than I We're taking one on the chin Then waking to burn again, so bright So close your eyes Don't you dare forget our home Set your memories in stone If we're destined to die today May we go to a better place I let the fear replace my faith But it feels the same I won't let down I can't let down my walls The earth is shaking The sky is falling down

Lord its taking hold again The time it took to get from here to there Is changing I'm always running towards my gorgeous little goals, But following the ancient, tired dream is taking It's toll on us I burn and I still Lust I've got to let it go Cause a chambered mind Can really blow away a good time I've got to let it go Its killing me She told me to forgive a betrayal But I know I should take aim Something is pulling at me tonight There's pieces missing out of this puzzle I'm always ready to take aim Something is pulling at me Oh, teach me to live A life without a firefight Where all you do is sleep at night We'll be there arm in arm A tale without a tragedy But no, I cant go Giving up a fantasy Weighed down by love I'm living out a fantasy Fuckin covered in blood I'm coming around again now Looking for action

IV. Floods 04:08
What if all we've ever known Turns to smoke and flame? What if I could find a way To keep you calm and safe? Down under the water There's nothing here to worry about The old world has been filtered So pure that I can taste it I pray that I don't waste it The tide is closing in and Underneath the stars We have gone too far Just open you're lungs and breathe And I'll hold you underneath What if I screw it up and Let you float away? I'd never leave you wandering In weather so cold I found a safer place to stay Oh, Life is so lovely Dancing back and forth To and fro, under the waves And miles above me The war can wait The tide is closing in and Underneath the stars We have gone too far Just open your lungs and breathe And I'll hold you underneath To keep you safe and pure I'm holding you under (I hold you underneath) To keep you safe and out of danger's way I hold you underneath I hold you underneath The tide is closing in and Underneath the stars We have gone too far Just open your lungs and breathe And I'll hold you underneath

V. Contact 03:24
Suddenly there's screaming and The world is in flames A genocidal rival with impossible means And no grace of God to intervene Bear witness to our final scene Fire to burn us to the ground Water to make it clean End of days The war we lost in every way I'm sending off the human race Losing more Than any man before I'm sending off the human race Suddenly there's silence In a terrible way Suddenly, humanity in shades of grey There's no easy time to fade away Bear witness to our final day And still we rob each other blind No longer under watchful eye We hide and watch each other die Inside its all but over Fire to burn us to the ground Our monuments are falling Water to wash the ashes down And all we nonbelievers drown End of days The war we lost in every way I'm sending off the human race Losing more Than any man before I'm sending off the human race

VI. Silence 06:24
So this is what it feels like To make it out alive To pile up your friends and family To know calamity, oh calamity Another night of searching for someone Another ghost to talk to as I wander the roads Our light burned out We make no sound now Take me all the way out All the way out So this is what it feels like To be here left behind The final Sayer of our history With no one listening No one listening at all A world that's been raped of all resources Drained of all love A paper shell of what it was A world that they ripped wide open with the core exposed La de da de da Leaving only me to know Now imagine you And 6 billion dead men Just try to keep your mind workin What more is left to keep walking towards? Another night of searching for someone Another ghost to talk to as I wander the roads Our light burned out We make no sound now Take me all the way out All the way out A world that's been raped of all resources Drained of all love A paper shell of what it was A world that they ripped wide open with the core exposed Leaving only me to know *Spoken* I can't keep doing this I'm positive that I'm the only person at this point I can't keep doing this to myself This is going to be my last transmission This is... Signing off.

about

This album was written between July and October of 2011. In the 4 or so years since the creation of this album, Idle Satellites went through member changes, botched live performances, arguments, fights and failures, ultimately leading to our disbanding in 2013. This project made me feel like I could accomplish anything, and that my success in the music industry was inevitable; yet it also completely took the wind out of my sails, and left me feeling broken and discouraged for over 2 years. We were 6 people who, together, were able to grasp at something greater than we could have achieved alone, if only for a moment. These demos are all that is left to show for the years of work that we poured into that band. Hopefully, you enjoy it as much as we did.

-Christian, 2015

This EP is a concept album that follows a man's last days on earth as the world crumbles around him.
