Galaxy Burst 03:51
so there we were describing pictures of horizons we can't know the tower stands above the lands we love it overtakes me i dragged you back to safety your eyes would open nevermore and though they tried to chase me i thought i might restore your life and positivity lights my way at night a sword and sense of purpose my tools to win you back to life and though i sure was nervous i stared my foe right in the eye and then i happily taught him how to die when i close my eyes in the dark of the night i can see you there sitting in the sun waiting for me waiting for me

How could an honest man like me make it right? My intentions are to leave her here alone She'd jump into a burning building Just to get my secrets out I push her in the flames and she burns out Don't hold me late into the night Don't cry to see me taking flight How could an honest man like me make it right? My intentions are to leave you here alone She looks at me like something made of Platinum and porcelain I lock her out and never let her in She'd jump into a burning building Just to get my secrets out I push her in the flames and she burns out Cause under that dress is my ticket home Under that dress is all my money and gold How bout we take down the lights in the room now How bout we take down... Running along the edge of pain Running along the edge of delight Just put me on that microphone How long before she gets me home? I never want to lose that kind of pleasure I've never wanted anything so strong She never wants to lose me as her treasure But I never treasure anything for long

Floods 04:09
What if all we've ever known Turns to smoke and flame? What if I could find a way To keep you calm and safe? Down under the water There's nothing here to worry about The old world has been filtered So pure that I can taste it I pray that I don't waste it The tide is closing in and Underneath the stars We have gone too far Just open you're lungs and breathe And I'll hold you underneath What if I screw it up and Let you float away? I'd never leave you wandering In weather so cold I found a safer place to stay Oh, Life is so lovely Dancing back and forth To and fro, under the waves And miles above me The war can wait The tide is closing in and Underneath the stars We have gone too far Just open your lungs and breathe And I'll hold you underneath To keep you safe and pure I'm holding you under (I hold you underneath) To keep you safe and out of danger's way I hold you underneath I hold you underneath The tide is closing in and Underneath the stars We have gone too far Just open your lungs and breathe And I'll hold you underneath

Waves 04:42
amiss, i wanted more than this but something inside it breaks and it bends when i'm alone i lie to you i really try to help myself i lie because nothing else compares she said "why couldn't you warn me?" a crashing wave, a storming cloud your silent smiles ringing out so loud and why couldn't you show me how? instead i lie and wait for you now i know the one you're waiting for ain't me but i'm the one alive i know the way you wanted ain't this one they say heaven holds a place for those who wait and waste away running in the waves is so cold tonight exposure to the wind takes it's toll now listen here child i'm sowing wild oats tonight and i'm running i'm running and you're holding me back if it only wasn't so cold to say i'm on my way out she said "why couldn't you warn me?" i have to leave you've seen the black spot on my soul the mark is on me now go hold your head up high walk free walk free and curse my name it's okay

i view the sun as something to obey evaporating puddles like its just another day with leaves so golden you can taste a paradise flows through my veins most days i wonder what dreams will get away i can feel the water and sand upon my skin it's something to cherish i was searching for a lake to drink from the floral patterns caught my eyes and I was drawn to it never fear take a dip the dip hydrates with every sip that I sip now ignoring thirst i can promise you that we'll keep things calm we'll be alright over and over the cycle recycles into a icy grave times will tell through seasons lost i'm sure there's something in the rain most days i wonder what dreams will get away i can feel the water and sand upon my skin it's something to cherish i feel i'm the one to blame for the seasons stopped calling out my name

I thought I saw you running by Gentle as a fly I thought I heard you scream my name And I can't stand it Even the sun that shines That shakes the sky Falling on me can't make me see How much your moonlight means to me I don't know why All I know I'll find another you I'll make my dreams come true I know I always fucking do So i'll wait And howl at the moon I'll sing my favorite tune I'll wait You're coming very soon I thought we made it in the dark Underneath the stars I thought that fire slipped away And left me stranded Nobody knows the pain The cost, the price Tendered by me Oh can't you see How much your moonlight means to me? I don't know why It makes me cry The lonely places How I pace around along the way The lonely faces How they pave the ground along the way The love we made to just be thrown away now It's such a shame to bury underground Oh no The time is coming soon The shining symbol in the moon And now I've gotta go And find another you I'll make my dreams come true I know I always fucking do So I'll wait And howl at the moon I'll sing my favorite tune I'll wait You're coming very soon

about

This album was written piece by piece between July 2011 & October 2014. It was recorded between November 2014 & December 2015, during which I moved a grand total of 4 times, couch surfing with friends and family while I completed the last semester of college for my degree. Now that I've settled down, the record is being mixed song by song in an empty garage in Coastal North Carolina. Please be gentle.

Dan recorded vocals while doing the Galleria Kessel Run in his MKVI GTI.
